Privacy Notice

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address. We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded after each session. Collected information or information that remains in our database is information related to the frequency at which certain pages are viewed on our website. No reference, ip or other information remains and no contact to consumers will result from viewing our website unless you choose to apply for an account.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by sending an e-mail, calling or writing, and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from our company.

In the event a visitor chooses to sign up through our website to purchase products, that information is held only for the purchase of the items. The visitor's log in information remains pertinent until such time as the visitor chooses to remove their profile. The account holder may at time of sign up choose to opt out of contact emails and newsletters notifying one of new product releases and general changes to our website.

All credit information is encrypted at the time of purchase making only the account holder visible to that information. Credit information is collected by Authorize.net, Paypal and other approved card certifying vendors solely for the purposes of verifying credit information. Jake's makes no use of the information except for the purpose of fulfilling orders and verifying shipment data. All other non-essential information is discarded upon termination of the web session.

THE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT

The California Consumer Privacy Act provides that California residents may (subject to certain limitations):

  •     Request the personal information we collect about them.
  •     Ask that we delete the personal information we collect about them.
  •     Opt out of having their personal information sold (while we do not share personal information with third parties in exchange for money, we disclose certain information in exchange for insights and other valuable services, and California law treats such sharing as a “sale” even if no money is exchanged; click here for more information).

Regarding these rights, Jake's Famous Foods, LLC DOES NOT now nor have we ever sold personal information for those who purchase from this site.  

CALIFORNIA'S SHINE THE LIGHT LAW

California’s Shine the Light law gives California residents the right to ask companies once a year what personal information they share with third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. California residents may make one Shine the Light request per year by emailing us at [email protected]. When you request the information, use the phrase “California Shine the Light Request” to help us appropriately identify your question, and include your mailing address, state of residence and email address so we can provide a response.
