My friends told me about their outing with hamburgers standard and Hawaiian.  They were big time barbecue makers and loved making ribs and hamburgers and brisket and all types of things. What they didn't realize is that what they were making wasn't that good to many people.  So on one of their famous barbecues they were going to get started with their steaks and ribs.  Just before things got started they got a call from a close friend that said they were having a big celebration and it wouldn't be the same without them.  They put off their barbecue and opted to head over to the friends house.  The grill was going the friends were enjoying their company and dinner time approached quickly.  Since this was short notice they brought along their kids. The friends said they would make hamburgers and hot dogs to fit the needs of the kids.  As the meats came off the barbecue the plates were laid out and everybody was ready to get started.  Just about time the first bite took place one of their kids said loudly to the father..."Daddy I don't like this barbecue."  The father looked over in embarrassment and said "what do you mean you don't like this barbecue"? The child said..."I like your barbecue instead, cause it's burned and crispy."  There were some gasps in the crowd then an immediate roar of laughter.  The child didn't realize it but they said exactly what everyone else was thinking who had the misfortune of trying their barbecue.  The father said...don't worry son we'll do our barbecue tomorrow.  As the saying goes, kids will be kids.
