Burgundy Pepper Steak Marinade

Burgundy Pepper steak.  marinade brings out the tantalizing, full rich flavor of steaks.

If you like steaks you've probably had them in one or two basic ways.  But there's always that one steak you will always remember, perfectly cut, just the right amount of marbling, great texture and excellent mouth feel.  That one steak will live on in your memory forever and ever.

And while we may never be able to re-create that one steak we will be able to give you an excellent marinade recipe to offer you an alternative when that same old steak won't do.  This is a basic get her done steak marinade recipe when prepared in advance will deliver a wonderful burgundy pepper flavor to the meat.

Now that you've invested in the Rib Eyes or New York's why not see the return on that investment with a marinade that makes the meat even more tender.  Like so many things preparation is the key to great results and so it goes with our Burgundy marinade.  Give yourself at least two hours to adequately marinate the steaks then cook as directed.

Ingredients: Burgundy Pepper Steak Marinade

2 Rib Eye or New York steaks

For Marinade

Combine marinade ingredients and mix well; Place mix in container and add steaks; turn to coat, Cover and seal. To make steaks tender marinate for no more than 2 hours. Steaks can be marinaded for more than 3 hours if desired, however, steaks may become mushy and may lose their natural flavoring.

In addition to a wet marinade one can use a dry marinade to such as our tri-tip, steak and rib rub which is a wonderful steak marinade recipe.  Our Steak marinade recipe is easy to use and coats evenly.  The BBQ Rub is spooned or shaken onto the meat and allowed to rest for about 45 minutes then grilled, pan fried or broiled for ultimate flavor.

Want that nice Cross Hatch pattern you see from restaurants?

The Cross Hatch pattern is easy just follow this step.  Half-way through the grilling time on the first side turn the steak 1/4 turn. After turning the steak(s) perform the same 1/4 turn on the second side as well completing the process when you are halfway through the grill cycle. That turn will allow the grill grates an opportunity to sear in the grate marks just like branding the steaks.  The pattern is really pleasing to the eye as well as your guests.

We hope you enjoy this Jake's Famous recipe.
