Our Jake's Smokehouse Style Bar-B-Que Sauce Original Mild  BBQ Sauce for baby back ribs, chicken, steaks and more is the culmination of many months of travel and constant focus.  Our Jake's Smokehouse Style Bar-B-Que Sauce Original Mild is created from our desire to have a true BBQ Sauce in our Western California state.  We traveled, to Texas, Alabama, Memphis and stopped and talked with some serious Pit Masters and professionals in the trade and along the way we learned what truly makes a BBQ Sauce great.  BBQ sauces are great not so much for their ingredients but for their single-minded focus on creating a truly great experience for their customers.  We can all get just about the same ingredients but what we can't all get is their Pit Master secrets and behind the scenes blends from the most iconic creators. 

Folks we are here to tell you that we have gathered our collective knowledge and cracked the BBQ Sauce code.  Through our association with Pitmasters and sauce creators we have confirmed what is the traditional Inspired BBQ Sauce for baby back ribs, chicken, steak and more.  While we'll may not share all the secret ingredients what we will do is offer the best, authentic, Barbecue Sauce West of Texas.  Although you may not be able to go to Mesquite, or Dallas or Austin each year you can have our outstanding, inspired, traditional Jake's Smokehouse Style Bar-B-Que Sauce Original Mild .  The bbq sauce is savory with subtle hints of garlic, onions, mustard, molasses and spicy with jalapeno and habanero peppers. Why We Love This Original Mild BBQ Sauce

This product is for those who want an old school barbecue flavor with the perfect level of very minimal heat. The barbecue sauce is made with a few select key ingredients which we call our Really Good Mild BBQ Sauce, this sauce focuses on molasses, tomatoes, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoke for taste, aroma and color, onion, garlic, salt and spices with a select blend of ginger, habanero and jalapeno chili capsicum blend for more consistent flavor. That's why this Jake's Smokehouse Style Bar-B-Que Sauce Original Mild is thicker than water but a little less thicker than tomato ketchup. The sauce has just the right amount of spiciness and vinegar for marinating combined with smokiness. If you don't have a wood smoker then you can achieve similar results simply by just basting on the product after marinating for 45 minutes to an hour. Grilling is easy just place on a grill with medium to medium high heat at about 225 degrees for slow barbecuing or 275 degrees for quicker barbecue. Of course higher heat requires more consistent watching of the flame to ensure the meat doesn't burn. 

A few days back I decided to make some extra special ribs for a party I was hosting. Since most of my friends enjoy a nice spicy special bbq sauce for sale that does overpower but still has great flavor I pulled out the Jake's Smokehouse Style Bar-B-Que Sauce Original Mild. The Ribs followed the standard process with me cleaning them first then following up with a generous coating of yellow mustard. I wrapped the ribs in aluminum foil then I placed them in the fridge for about 3 hours. Afterward, I pulled them out and began coating them with our brand new Memphis Blues Dry Rub. I should mention that I started the process around 9 AM since I wanted to enjoy the ribs in the evening. After adding the dry rub on both sides I re-wrapped the ribs again placing them in the fridge for another hour and a half. I got my grill ready as my intent was to do some basic snake method smoking. Now typically the snake method can take about 6 hours but since I didn't have that kind of time I focused on about 4. I did that by performing my double snake technique, which is simply adding charcoal to the opposite side of the grill as well. I got the fire started then moved the gray coals over to the starter ends of the double snake. After about 20 minutes the grill was ready with a solid temperature running around 275 degrees. I brought out the ribs and laid them on the grill inserted my remote temperature probes and closed the lid tightly. About 1 hour in I did a visual inspection to note that all the edges were doing well. After about three hours I took the ribs off and laid down some foil enough to fully cover the ribs then added some brown sugar and honey along with a little bit of pomegranate juice concentrate. I wrapped the ribs again leaving the seam side up. I continued the smoke process for another hour.

At this point, you can take the ribs off in preparation for the bbq sauce process. It's a good idea to open the ribs inside a metal tray or pay as the juices may seep from the foil. The ribs are now extremely tender. So, I want to add the Jake's Smokehouse Style Bar-B-Que Sauce Original Mild. I lift the ribs slight then baste the underside of the ribs then I cover the top side of the ribs. I place the foil ribs back on the grill and close the lid cooking for about 20 minutes to ensure the bbq has had time to meld with the dry rub and rib flavors. Afterward, I pull the ribs off leaving them fully wrapped. I rest the ribs for about 30 minutes then open the foil again it's a good idea to use the tray for possible juice. The ribs are extremely tender and can be sliced and served.

This Sauce produces a wonderfully warm heat and an old-school taste with flavors reminiscent of competition barbecues. The sauce marinates deeply within 45 minutes to an hour. The sauce can be used overnight in the marinating process along with delivering smokiness for those who do not have wood smokers readily available.
